One of our cherished partnerships is with Sackcloth and Ashes, where for every blanket purchased, one is donated to a local homeless shelter. Through this initiative, we help provide warmth and comfort to those in need right here in Coos Bay. We also partner with Star of Hope, a program that empowers adults with mental and social disabilities by offering them jobs. Every other week, they visit our property to collect recyclables, turning simple tasks into opportunities for growth and independence.
We take pride in fostering a vibrant local economy. Our Artisan/Farmers Market gives small businesses a platform to showcase their products, while our General Store features a curated selection of locally made goods. To keep the spirit of the community alive, we host live music events in our Cove Lounge and Pavilion, always featuring talented local musicians. We’ve also created opportunities for small business owners and artisans to host workshops and experiences, bringing unique, hands-on activities to our guests.
Additionally, our collaboration with Working Wonders, a nonprofit supporting individuals with social and technological disabilities, has led to a successful hire who is now thriving as part of our team. Sustainability is another pillar of our efforts, and we do our part by reusing materials, recycling cans, and minimizing waste wherever possible.
