Holiday Open House in Downtown Coos Bay – November 13 and 14
Enjoy the official kick-off of the Holidays in downtown Coos Bay. Participating merchants will be offering specials, along with fun activities, door prizes, and refreshments!
Shop Small Saturday – November 12 – 27
Whenever you shop downtown Coos Bay during these dates, be sure to save your receipts to receive a commemorative mug (for receipts totaling $100 or more). Then bring your receipts to Jennie’s Shoes at 262 Central Ave to get your mug! Shop small and support local businesses this holiday season.
Holiday Bazaar in Newport – November 20
From 10am – 4pm at the American Legion, shop a myriad of vendors selling holiday and other wonderful wares for the Christmas season and beyond.
Drive By Santa and Tree Lighting – November 27
Santa is coming to Coos Bay early this year! Come by the Coos Bay Visitor Center at 50 Central Ave from 1pm-5pm and bring the kids. They can put their letters to Santa filled with their Christmas wishes into Santa’s mailbox, and his elves will give out candy canes in exchange. Then at 5:30, Santa himself will light the Coos Bay Tree. The tree lighting will also be live streamed on Facebook.
2nd Annual North Bend Christmas Cruise – December 3
A new annual tradition, the Christmas Cruise in North Bend is at the Community Center at 2222 Broadway from 6pm – 9pm. Sail through a lighted display to kick off the season.
Holiday House in Newport – December 3 – 5
Shop crafts and goods from over 45 vendors. You’ll find everything from baked goods to jams, jellies, Christmas items, gifts, kids’ clothing and toys, jewelry, pottery, and so much more. Held at the Yaquina Bay Yacht Club.
Victoria Christmas at Heceta Head Lighthouse, Florence – December 11, 12, 18, 19
Celebrate the 25th Annual Victorian Christmas open house at the Heceta Head Assistant Lighthouse Keeper’s House. The beautifully decorated abode will host local musicians playing holiday favorites. Warming drinks, goodies, and Santa will be there! Doors will be open to the public from 4 – 7pm each day.
Season by the Sea, Bandon – November 27 and throughout December
All throughout the month, Old Town will be lit up with over 10,000 lights in celebration of the season. It all starts on Thanksgiving with a tree-lighting ceremony. Enjoy music, refreshments, and caroling, along with a photo op with Santa!
