Moving away from nautical, how about outdoor restaurants? This is the time to dine out doors and plenty of places have great outdoor seating. You can not only enjoy a great meal but breathe in some of the great coastal air. It’s also a good season for hiking.

Oregon is blessed with some great state parks. We’ve discussed Shore Acres State Park previously, but it isn’t the only one to put on your second summer plan. Other nearby parks are Oregon Dunes National Recreational Area and Cape Arago State Park.
